Rosebrook Cool Running

Rosebrook Cool Running

Standing at Stud

Rosebrook Cool Running is a chestnut stallion out of Rosebrook Spice. Spice was injured as a young mare and was placed in the brood mare paddock. He is sired by Rosebrook Cedarwood who was one of the foundation sires of the Rosebrook Stud. Terry saw an opportunity to breed Spice to a TB stallion standing at Merriwa named Tangfu. Tangfu was by the impressive stallion Baguette and had a double cross of Star Kingdom in his bloodlines. It was an opportunity to introduce some fresh bloodlines along with the speed and size of a thoroughbred.

Cool Running was sold as a young horse and was purchased by Mel Copelin who showed Cool Running extensively in led and ridden classes including Supreme Led horse at the ASHS Nationals amongst many other awards. He stood at the Glen Esk stud for many years and produced many competition horses including futurity winners.

Cool Running was bought back by Rosebrook Stud in 2017. He continues to be a sire of performance horses that are competing all over Australia in different and varied fields of competition.

Rosebrook Cool Running is a half brother to another highly successful Rosebrook stallion, Rosebrook Balou.
